8. How do I know whether the money has reached the recipient?
As soon as your payment is made at the other end, you will be informed through an SMS on your mobile or an e-mail. However, you can verify the same on our website, any time after sending the money. You only have to enter your name and the Shramik Remit Transaction Reference (SRTR) code.
9. Can I send as well as receive money at the same agent’s?
Yes you can, but this depends on the regulation of that particular country. In some countries, you are only allowed to receive money through the agent.
10. Will you provide me with any documentary proof of sending or receiving money?
Yes, for every transaction, you will receive a singed and stamped receipt or a computer generated document from the agent.
11.What if a fraud happens and my money is taken by an impostor?
If such an unfortunate incident occurs, you can be rest assured that you will be unaffected. Any fraud that happens without your knowledge is entirely our responsibility and you will get your money. Fortunately, the chances of such an event are very remote as every transaction is protected by a multi-level high-security system. However, the above is subject to terms and conditions.

18. How do I send money?
All you have to do is fill in a "Send Form" (only the first time) and remit the transfer amount plus the applicable fee. Not only is the procedure simple, but the person at the counter will also guide you through it, you will also receive an exclusive “Shramik Club" membership card. From the next transaction onwards, you only have to present it at the counter with amount you wish to send. All other information like the remitter’s and sender’s details are stored in the card.
19. How does my beneficiary know the location to receive the money?
You may inform the beneficiary about the nearest location to him/her. However, Shramik Remit also sends an SMS or an e-mail indicating that the payment is ready for collection.
20. How does one receive money?
The beneficiary completes a "Receive Form" at the payment location, and provides proper identification or answers a test question. On confirmation of identity, the agent readily pays the transferred amount to the receiver.
21. What is considered valid identification for receiving money?
Driver's license, State ID, Passport or Tourist card, Government ID with photograph, Alien ID, or any other identification document approved by the particular country. |
